Kabini Safari - Kakanakote

Safaris always thrills me! It’s not seeing the big cat, the forest itself have many things for us to offer. Maybe the mood of forest, the shades of trees, the mist, the weather, the rain, the sunny patches, birds activities, animal behaviour, alarm calls, elephants, deer, sambar deers, wild boars. If you are lucky can spot bears, tiger and leopard.

I never came disappointed from any of the safaris, I have seen people complaining after the safaris saying ‘nothing to see’, ‘ only few elephants’, ‘ no tiger or leapord’,‘it’s waste’ …. . Apart from these expected big events seeing cats there are many things to feel and see in forest. Below are few such events captured from Kakanakote safari - Antarasanthe Kabini.

Story - Elephants Chasing Dholes

This was very interesting - Dholes(wild dogs) are very playful which loves to imitate attack on elephants and in turn get chased. Ignoring the size of elephants these dholes tries to attack or chase elephants; elephants on other side - couldn’t withstand the dholes irritation, they keep chasing every time dholes try to near them. Below are few moments that I got chance to observe and capture.
